We will endeavour to deliver on your choice of holiday at Green Adventure. You can decide whether you are looking for range of outdoor activities or relaxing with a book whilst getting a taste of locally sourced produce in our newly refurbished Lounge/ self catering kitchen area. There’s plenty to do and our team will be able to deliver on your choice of holiday from what we can offer locally and at Green Adventure. Just arrive, relax and unwind in the beautiful hills and mountains of County Wicklow and Wicklow National Park
We at Green Adventure want to welcome you from the minute you arrive until your departure. It is our responsibility to ensure that your stay with us is thoroughly enjoyable and our team are there to attend to any activity or outing you wish to pursue.
At Green Adventure, we cater for all age groups from beginners to advanced levels for all our activities. All outdoor activities are located close to the main holiday centre and relaxation area. We have kayaking, canoeing, bicycle rental (day or week), 4×4 Jeep driving, zipwiring, hiking, mountain biking and mountain climbing experiences for you to choose from and all within close proximity of Green Adventure. We are partnered with experienced tourism businesses. Email info@greenadventure.ie for availability on any of these experiences. We cater for groups of 8 or more and booking is essential to ensure a time suitable to both parties can be arranged. (Please enable adequate time to book your groups activity as 24 hours notice is sometimes not possible for every activity).
The accommodation includes a newly renovated old farm house providing for double or single rooms depending on singles, couples or groups. There is also the old cow house that has been renovated to provide guest with a dining area and lounge with woodfire stove heating if required We even have additional accommodation nearby in a beautiful rural setting if your group requires. Car parking is no problem as there is plenty of room in our new car parks and mobile camping at Green Adventure.
The camping and caravan areas are fully equipped with electricity supply, water sources and lighting to and from main campus for toilets, washroom, eating area and educational activity farm centre. If required you can pre-order breakfast, packed lunch and tea when making a reservation and choose from a selection of local and international sourced foods.
A large selection of local foods and arts and crafts will be on display at our local monthly farmers market. Check out our newsletter for the upcoming season of events.
We want to offer you the chance to experience the outdoors with the comfort of knowing our facilities are newly built to the highest safety standards. There are hundreds of acres to roam and experience nature through the walkways, rivers, forests, old historical mass paths and boglands located in the region. We also have the Green Acres Organic farm section with big and small domestic/ wild animals that will include cow, deer, foxes, sheep, hens, turkeys, pheasants, pigs, donkeys, reptiles (have you seen the crocodile yet!), and small mammals section.
There are vast numbers of wildlife, flora and fauna, geographical and archaeological enigmas in the Wicklow hills and countryside waiting to be explored. Our team are available to cater for tour groups, families or schools and have the experience to give you or your group a presentation of nature and farming from an educational and life-learning experience.
We also cater for parties, christenings, small weddings etc. where you choose the layout and we’ll deliver locally sourced food from our local cheese to cake producers providing quality and taste. Evening meals can be prepared by local chefs in our kitchens and served in our covered viewing area or dining room.
If you or your group would like to eat out at night, we can arrange one of our trusted local taxi men to drop and collect at any local town or city. Dublin is only 1 hour drive away for a night of culture with our tour guides advice on where to go. And if you want to stay local for traditional music and a pint in a local traditional music bar, it’s only a short walk from the Green Adventure resort, and we’ll get the taxi home.
So leave the phones at home and come and visit our team at Green Adventure for a range of activities suited to your needs.
We can also arrange for walkers/ hill trekkers to be dropped at a location and collected from any point. We will provide the person/ group with walkways and routes within close proximity of Green Adventure.
For any activities that Green Adventure hasn’t, we will be able to arrange for local businesses to take you on a different experience and just list from the following when you are making your booking and we will accommodate you during your stay:
- Horse-riding
- Fishing
- Shopping trips to Kilkenny, Gorey, Carlow, Dublin (only 1 hour!)
- Hill-walking (Guided Tour)
- Golf resorts, Restaurants, bars and hotels
- Basketmaking
- Sheep shearing
- Dairy milking
- Baking and cookery skills
- Art and craft classes including metal and jewellery making

We are located 1 hour from Dublin, 35 mins from Gorey or Carlow and 10 minutes from the local restaurants, traditional Irish music bars and breathtaking scenery. 40 minutes from clean beaches, (We know the good ones!). Glendalough is only 30 mins through the Wicklow mountains with or without a guided tour. A discovery awaits you and your friends in this magical part of Ireland.
We are also situated in close proximity to Rathwood and the Arboretum, both award winning garden centres, that are located 10 min and 25 mins respectively from our location. We also have various walks near Collatin

Whether with or without a tour guide, respect your surroundings and the people around you, we would like for all visitors to our region to have a very enjoyable experience for all
There are no open fires allowed at any time on site without prior consent from the Green Adventure team.
Wear suitable walking shoes and bring warm clothes, raingear and appropriate supplies of food and water for longer walks – Plan to prepare for you adventure ahead of your journey and take nothing with you but happy memories…….

The Wicklow Way is situated within 1 km walk and is Ireland’s premier long distance walking route
There are also various tourist attractions and historical sites within close proximity of the Green Adventure amenity, just ask a member of staff and they shall provide you and your group with any tourism information required.
